Bergen New Bridge Medical Center will offer free mammograms to women with no health insurance or with limited insurance through the month of October, hospital executives said on Sept. 29.

The Paramus hospital is one of several locations throughout North Jersey that offer no-cost cancer screenings to those who qualify. A list of locations is below.

Bergen New Bridge is considered a "safety net" hospital because it treats a large volume of low-income patients. The free mammogram program is part of its third annual “October Is on Us” campaign to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Appointments can be made by calling 201-225-7130.
