A crash is blocking a major road in Leeds, with traffic backing up along the carriageway and in the surrounding area.

Hunslet Lane, which is one of the major through roads into Leeds city centre , has been blocked on the northbound carriageway. Black Bull Street, which connects to Hunslet Lane next to the Printworks Kitchen & Bar, has been shut as a result, Google Maps data suggests.

Traffic monitoring system INRIX said: "A653 Hunslet Lane Northbound blocked, slow traffic due to accident from Sayner Road to Butterley Street."

Live traffic information shows significant delays on Hunslet Road, Black Bull Street and many of the surrounding roads.
