National Night Out, originally known as National Night Out Against Crime, is a chance for members of the northshore community to interact with the members of law enforcement to share concerns, find out how residents and police can address various situations and make connections — both neighbor to neighbor and resident to police. If community policing is knowing one's beat and the people who live or work there, then these events each year can foster those goals.

Below are the different events planned throughout St. Tammany Parish and listed chronologically, starting Oct. 2. (Folsom got a head start, holding its National Night Out on Sept. 25).
