A church pastor has been jailed for 14 years for the serial abuse of a woman and eight children. ‌

Rev. James Haram put his traumatised victims through ordeals spanning four decades. This included the 51 year-old raping the woman. The youngsters who were preyed upon were often whacked with a wooden spoon or a rod. ‌

Haram - who had been with the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) in Glasgow - was today sentenced. He had earlier been found guilty at the High Court in Glasgow of a total of 19 charges of physical and sexual abuse. ‌

The crimes occurred between 1997 and 2020 at addresses in the city as well as Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire and in South Ayrshire. Judge Tom Hughes today said he the victims will hopefully take "comfort" that their brave
