DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A Danville man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened Thursday.

Willie J. Danner, 31, met with Danville police detectives at the Public Safety Building to talk about the shooting. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant related to the case for aggravated battery with a firearm.

Around 4:45 a.m. Thursday, police were called to a home in the 400 block of Beard St. for a gunshot victim. Officers found a 33-year-old man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated and later released.
