DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) -- A Danville man was arrested over the weekend after police connected his vehicle to a hit-and-run incident that left a 14-year-old hurt.
Danville Police officers responded to the area of Bowman Avenue and Crestview Drive around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday after they received reports of a hit-and-run. When they arrived, they found a 14-year-old pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. The teenager was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
While investigating at the scene, officers learned that a vehicle had fled and was last seen heading eastbound on Crestview Drive. Officers interviewed a witness and reviewed footage from Flock traffic cameras in the area, which revealed a suspect vehicle -- a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse.
