DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) -- Danville Police have announced an arrest in connection with a shooting that left a man hurt last week.

The shooting happened early Thursday morning on Harvey Street and left a 33-year-old man hurt. He was treated at the hospital for a non-life-threatening injury and was later released.

In a news release, Deputy Chief Doug Miller said a warrant was later issued in the case that charged Willie J. Danner, 31 of Danville, with aggravated battery with a firearm. On Monday, Danner turned himself in at the Public Safety Building.

He was booked into the Vermilion County Jail on the warrant.
