Police have a suspect in custody after two men were shot inside an apartment property in Hoover, Monday.

Police reported officers responded to The Haven Apartment Homes in the 2900 block of Chace Lake Drive, just before 6 p.m.

Officers arrived and found two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Both were taken to UAB Hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.

Neighbors told WVTM 13 that they heard three shots, then a short time later, another three shots.

Police have not indicated a motive for the shooting.
