PAGELAND, S.C. —

Authorities in South Carolina have released the names and charges of several individuals charged in the death of a 9-year-old child .

The arrests involve a total of 11 suspects, including seven underage juveniles.

The shooting happened Sunday in the parking lot of a convenience store along Highway 9 in Pageland, officials said.

“Our community is grieving the loss of a child, and we share in that grief,” said Chesterfield County Sheriff Cambo Streater. “This tragedy shows how quickly violence can destroy families and harm an entire neighborhood. We must come together—parents, schools, faith leaders, and law enforcement—to guide our young people toward better choices and to prevent senseless acts like this from happening again.”
