Strike up the band is the word at Stambaugh Auditorium, after the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra (YSO)

was acquired by the Henry H. Stambaugh Auditorium Association, better known as Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown.

Stambaugh has been working for the last six months to work out a deal that includes:

An agreement was reached with the Musicians of the Youngstown Symphony, represented by AFM Local 86-242, to extend the contract, which expired on August 31, for an additional two years. The extended agreement will run through August 31, 2027.

The 2025/2026 season is being planned. The season will be a shorter one due to the late start, but it is scheduled to open with a holiday "pops" concert on Monday, December 22, in the Concert Hall at Stambaugh Auditorium. Additional dates and more
