Rising pop star Lola Young is stepping away from the stage following a fall over the weekend during one of her performances.

"I'm going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future," she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. "Thank you for all the love and support. I'm so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know."

The British singer is best known for her song "Messy," which went viral on TikTok. Throughout the year, she's been performing live at festivals.

On Sept. 27, she collapsed onstage while performing at the All Things Go Festival at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York. She was then carried offstage by medical staff. Earlier in her set, she told the crowd she had a tricky couple of days.
