Georgia Nut Company issued a voluntary recall for some of its Tru Fru Freeze Dried products, because they may be contaminated with metal.

The recalled fruit snacks include the Tru Fru Freeze Dried Strawberries in Dark and White chocolate, and in Strawberries and Creme.

These products have been sold in the U.S. by CVS, Food Lion, Kroger, Target and some other stores.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said the presence of hard or sharp foreign objects in food could cause traumatic injury. That could include laceration and perforation of tissues in the mouth, tongue, throat, stomach and intestine. It could also cause damage to teeth and gums.

However, the FDA said it has not received any reports of injury.

If you have purchased this product, the FDA recommends throwing it away.
