BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A Connecticut man won a $1 million lottery prize following a recent $100,000 win, according to a CT Lottery spokesperson Tuesday.

Shelley Suttles, of Bridgeport, won the $1 million prize from an Ultimate 7s scratch game ticket that he purchased while running errands, the spokesperson said.

He bought the ticket at Grand Package Store on Main Street in Bridgeport. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

Suttles said he "almost passed out" upon discovering he won the prize.

“I scratched off the box and saw a million dollars. I’ve never seen a million dollars on a ticket before. I picked up the phone and told my sister, and she started screaming. She couldn’t believe it either," he said.
