STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Pete Davidson says his mom is the reason he finally committed to getting sober.
During an appearance last week on comedian Theo Von’s “This Past Weekend” podcast, the Staten Island native reflected on the phone call with his mother, Amy Waters Davidson, that shifted his perspective while he was in rehab.
“My mom’s the most supportive person in the world,” Davidson said. “And it got to a point where she called me when I was in rehab and she was like, ‘My biggest fear is that I will turn on the news and I’ll see that my son has died.’”
