STORRS, CT. (WFSB) - The UConn football team is back home this Saturday looking for its 4th win of the season.

The game against Florida International University will carry a little more meaning to it, as it is the annual crucial catch game. It is also parents’ weekend.

The crucial catch game is a chance for players and staff members to remember people who have been affected by cancer.

For head coach Jim Mora, the dedication to cancer awareness is personal.

“My grandmother died of breast cancer, my mom, a two-time breast cancer survivor. There’s also people in my family that I’ve lost and suffered from cancer, cousin died of pancreatic cancer, so it’s a lot of people, so it means something, and it should mean something,” he said.
