NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - WSMV is celebrating 75 years in Television, and we’re looking back at the stories and people that shaped the network.

John Tesh anchored here from 1974 to 1976, but he’s best known for anchoring Entertainment Tonight and being a Grammy-nominated musician. Recently, he returned to WSMV to look back at where it all started.

“It was 51 years ago, and I think of this place often. There are places in your life where they have been watershed. And I just got the chills. You can see my hair. They are watershed moments, you know, and working here. I was at two other stations before WSM. It’s what it was before no V, and when Mike Kettering, the news director here, he really taught us all how to be journalists,” Tesh said.
