NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A new tool was unveiled by Nashville International Airport (BNA) to support passengers with vision problems.

They are partnering with Good Maps to assist travelers as they navigate throughout the property.

“Our mission is to bring more accessibility to more spaces,” Good Maps CEO Theresa Reno-Weber explained.

The maps use artificial intelligence to help travelers who are blind or have low vision. It provides audio cues that deliver turn-by-turn directions, which can be translated into 20 languages.

“We very quickly realized that if we could help blind individuals navigate independently indoors, we could help all of us navigate indoors,” Reno-Weber said.
