On Tuesday at 3:56 p.m. a beach hazards statement was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Wednesday at 5 a.m. for Oswego and Chautauqua counties.

The weather service adds to anticipate, "Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions."

"Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions," adds the weather service. "Stay out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions."
