HIGH RIDGE, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A Jefferson County family said they are still shaken up after their home was broken into in broad daylight.

The incident happened around 9 a.m. Saturday morning in High Ridge. Tracy Moreno and her husband were away from their home when her husband received a notification from their surveillance video that there was movement on their property.

Tracy said her husband called to tell her there was a car in their driveway he did not recognize. Tracy pulled up the live security feed and saw a masked man with a crowbar walk up to the front door.

“He was coming around the house. He went through the back gate and was kind of flush up against the home,” she said.
