ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Courageous, compassionate, and dedicated to their job. Those are the words used to describe the four aero medical evacuation crew members who died in a plane crash in western New Mexico nearly two months ago.

Captain Jeffery Tuning was described as someone with a colorful, passionate, heroic, and unwavering path.

First Officer Amanda Benson was said to have had the mind of a scholar, the heart of an artist, and the drive of a marathon runner.

Flight nurse Kameilia Chavez was known for her warmth, smile, and kindness. Knowing it all came from a very deep place of purpose.

And flight paramedic Nicholas Mancuso was described as giving the kind of hugs that you didn't forget. Genuine, grounding, and absolutely full of soul."
