BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - One Baton Rouge mother has a place to call home thanks to her hard work with the Habitat for Humanity program and a special surprise from former NFL player and Catholic High grad Warrick Dunn.

Shenique Holliday and her family stepped into the next chapter of their lives.

“Good. Wow. Flabbergasted. Surprise. I feel good. I feel like I hate to go to religions, but the favor of God is really on my life. This proves that I’m favored and blessed,” Holliday said.

After hours of working on the house from the ground up and helping others in the Habitat for Humanity program build their own homes too, Holliday now has a place to call her own—fully furnished and stocked, from the bedroom to the fridge.
