MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis basketball is having a big October both on and off the court.

Ballin’ on Beale Brings Memphis Madness Downtown

The Tigers are moving their annual preseason fan showcase, Memphis Madness, to historic Beale Street for the first time ever. Branded “Ballin’ on Beale", the free event takes place Thursday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m.

Fans can expect a high-energy, family-friendly festival in Handy Park, with food trucks, vendors, live music, and performances from the Mighty Sound of the South and spirit squads.

On Beale, both the men’s and women’s teams will be introduced and participate in interactive competitions, including a coaches’ game of T.I.G.E.R., student-athlete shooting contests, and even a special round featuring representatives from St. Jude.
