TOLLESON, Ariz. — A roadway in Tolleson is closed because of a crash, the Phoenix Police Department said.

Phoenix police officers are investigating a crash along 87th Avenue, south of Buckeye Road, that happened on Tuesday afternoon.

When officers got to the area, they found two cars involved in the crash.

At least one person was taken to the hospital by the Phoenix Fire Department with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police said 87th Avenue is closed off in both directions.

There is no estimated time of reopening.
