SEDONA, Ariz. — Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow announced Tuesday he was resigning from office, a move that comes weeks after the city council voted to censure him for undermining the council and city staff.
In a letter published this week, Jablow said his time as Sedona's mayor would end on Sept. 30 after serving more than three years in office.
"I leave office on a high note—proud of my service and confident in Sedona’s future. I will remain an active citizen and a strong advocate for the community I love," Jablow wrote.
The mayor's decision comes a couple of weeks after the city council voted 5-2 on Sept. 10 to censure Jablow for allegedly interfering with city departments, creating a hostile work environment, circumventing city council processes and acting beyond the authority of his of
