GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) - Literacy under the lights took place on Tuesday evening in Gallia County.

Elementary school students took a seat on the South Gallia High School football field to listen to their favorite books.

High school athletes read the children stories to get the community involved in reading together.

Gallia County Schools received a literacy grant through the state, and they are using this as an opportunity to highlight the importance of literacy.
