LAS VEGAS (AZFamily) — The Phoenix Mercury learned on Tuesday who they will play for the championship trophy.

The Las Vegas Aces held off the injury-plagued Indiana Fever in overtime to advance to the WNBA Finals.

Mercury and the Aces will play Game 1 on Friday in Las Vegas since they are the higher seed.

The Mercury may have been hoping for the Fever to advance, because Phoenix was 2-1 against them during the regular season. They also would have been the higher seed and have home court advantage.

The Mercury had a tougher time against the Aces, losing three out of four games. Phoenix’s lone win was when WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson didn’t play.
