WITTMANN, Ariz. — About a week after Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee called for a possible investigation into the Nadaburg Unified School District’s finances, the district’s superintendent is pushing back, saying the district is financially stable and no investigation is needed.

“Nadaburg Unified School District has never overspent its adoptive budget and we’ve had clean audits for the past five years,” Superintendent Aspasia Angelou said. “This is not an issue of mismanagement.”

Angelou spoke out just days after the district’s finances were questioned.
