WASHINGTON — Almost three months after the Washington Nationals released their General Manager and President of Baseball Operations, Mike Rizzo , they announced Paul Toboni as their new President of Baseball Operations.
Toboni hails from the Boston Red Sox where he spent the first 10 years of his young career. He started in 2015 as a baseball operations intern before moving into a scouting position across northern Texas and northern Louisiana. He became the Assistant Director of Amateur Scouting from 2017-19 and was named Director of Amateur Scouting in 2019 at just 29 years old.
