M8 lorry crash caught on camera

A man has died in a horror crash after a tractor and trailer shed its load of timber during rush-hour.

Officers from Police Scotland were alerted to the incident on the the M77 northbound at its merge with the M8 yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, September 30, at around 5.30pm.

Emergency services scrambled to the scene and the driver of the tractor, a 61-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Terrifying dash-cam footage captured the moment the timber crashed onto the road as the lorry passed on a bridge overhead.

As wooden beams fall to the ground some of them hit a white van's roof as the driver tries to avoid them.

The male driver with the dashcam can be heard to say "Woah! Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, what the f*** happen
