A 15-year-old boy was chased by a gang of 40 youths before being attacked and left unconscious. Cleveland Police has launched an investigation into the incident and another teenage boy has been arrested.

The incident happened on Saturday, September 27, around 8.10pm, when a large group of around 40 youths aged between 14 and 16 years old gathered. The victim was chased along nearby Cromer Walk, onto Mowbray Road, where he was assaulted.

He was left unconscious with facial injuries and required hospital treatment. Officers believe that there are a number of witnesses who were present at the time and would ask for them to come forward, and anyone with dash cam footage to contact police.
