Schoolgirl approached by hooded stranger in Bristol street View Image

A young girl was approached by a hooded stranger and asked if she wanted to "go with him" in Bristol earlier this week.

The 11-year-old girl was approached by an unknown man on Romney Avenue in Lockleaze around 6.10pm on Monday, September 29.

The man approached the girl and asked her if she wanted to go with him, before mentioning getting into a car. No vehicle was seen, police have said.

The girl managed to escape and ran home where she then told a parent of the incident which was then reported to the police.

The man is described as wearing dark leggings with pockets, a dark top with the hood pulled up.

He is also roughly 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build.
