KALAMAZOO, MI — Downtown Kalamazoo’s Comfort Inn hotel has closed.
The hotel at 739 W. Michigan Ave. closed its doors on Tuesday, Sept. 30, according to a letter posted on the front door.
“This decision was not made lightly and comes after careful consideration of various operational and business factors,” General Manager Micheal Patel wrote.
All reservations on or after Sept. 30 have been automatically canceled and refunded, according to the letter.
The location’s webpage is still active, but all future dates are “sold out.”
Comfort Inn parent company Choice Hotels could not be immediately reached for more information.
The hotel last sold for $1.8 million in 2019, per public records.
