TROUSDALE COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — There's a call for change at one of Tennessee's most dangerous prisons, the Trousdale Turner Correctional Facility.
The most recent incident, was a riot that put the prison on lockdown in June.
The Tennessee based company CoreCivic, owns and operates the facility.
On Wednesday, at a recent State Senate hearing, the Trousdale District Attorney, Jason Lawson, said, something has to change.
"Our population out there at Trousdale Turner, the types of inmates that are grouped there is driving our crime problem," Lawson said.
It's a problem creating major safety concerns at the prison, but it's also impacting the court system.
