NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A new report from the Nashville International Airport showed the cause of last month's hours long gridlock was due to the "unprecedented volume" of travelers requesting rideshare services.
BNA is now re-evaluating its Ground Transportation Center where travelers are dropped off and picked up through rideshare. In June, BNA created a new layout for the GTC to include both pick-up and drop-off. Frustrations had been growing — then came the chaos on Sept. 15.
"If you were to any driver, they would have told you that putting the pick-up and drop-off in the same place was going to be a big mess," driver and organizer with the Tennessee Drivers Union, Joshua Hill said. "But of course, the airport has continued to not listen to the voice[s] of the drivers."
