SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Siouxland businesses continue to get recognized for their efforts to accommodate people with disabilities, including one in Sioux City.

30 hotels, restaurants, and attractions were surveyed by the “Wheel the World” accessibility program, something organized by Explore Siouxland. Explore Siouxland was able to survey these Sioux City businesses because they were recently awarded the “Destination Verified” designation by Wheel the World.

Officials put out a survey, and participating businesses recommended changes that would need to be made.

“We had a Wheel the World representative come in, and they’re businesses were surveyed. Anything from the width of their doors to the height of their counters, and they completed that survey and received their feedback,” Kriste
