SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KCAU) — Irene Lopez, also known as Reenie to everyone who knows her, spends some of her busy life at the South Sioux City Library as a reference librarian.
There, she has a variety of tasks from teaching tech classes to helping translate information for non-English speakers. But most importantly, she showcases her artistic skills while giving people a space away from their busy day-to-day work.
"Reference work comes many things. You have to kind of see what the community needs are and try to plan around that," Irene Lopez, a Reference Library Assistant.
Lopez felt that the community was in need of art classes, so she put together just that.
"Our classes vary, but primarily I teach a lot of watercolor classes. The watercolor classes are for adults, and I've kind
