A man was killed by his own family members in Madhya Pradesh after he objected to his daughter-in-law's dance performance at Durga Puja pandal.

The incident took place in Mauganj district where 62-year-old Ramrati Vishwakarma was killed by his wife, son and grandson.

According to preliminary information, Ramrati's daughter-in-law was planning to perform a dance at a Durga Puja pandal but he objected to it. His objection angered his family members.

Enraged, his grandson Sonu attacked him with a shovel and then son Vedprakash and Ramrati's wife beat him with wooden sticks. The brutal attack killed the 62-year-old on the spot.

Police said they arrested all three accused within 24 hours of the incident.

A case has been registered against them under sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Criminal
