ATLANTA — A suspect, who police believe is a college student at South Carolina, is wanted in a violent assault that happened at popular sports bar Park Tavern in Midtown Atlanta.

The alleged assault happened on Sept. 1 just before 12:30 a.m. Officers with Atlanta Police responded and found a 20-year-old man who had suffered injuries to his head and face. He was not alert, conscious or breathing and was rushed to the hospital for treatment, police said.

Through the investigation, police said that the man was in an argument with the suspect at Park Tavern before is escalated into a physical assault. Park Tavern is located directly next to Piedmont Park just off 10th Street Northeast.

Police are now offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
