A 3-day-old baby was found buried under a rock in a forest in Madhya Padesh's Chimdwara. The newborn was abandoned by the parents, who are both primary school teachers, reportedly due to fear of losing their jobs after having a fourth child.

The incident came to light on Sunday night in Nandanwadi village when a passerby noticed the newborn lying near rocks in the forest close to Road Ghat. He informed the police, which arrived at the scene and rescued the infant. The baby was taken to a local health centre for initial treatment and then referred to the district hospital for further care.
