A suspect has been reportedly shot by Manchester cops after an alleged stabbing outside a synagogue.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed the incident happened outside Heaton Park synagogue, on Middleton Road, just after 9.30am this morning.
Police have confirmed that one member of the public had been stabbed . The suspect did not gain access to the building.
He has been shot at the scene by armed police. His condition is not known, but he is believed to be alive.
It's not clear how many people have been injured in this incident, the Manchester Evening News reported.
Andy Burnham says a car was driven at members of the public outside the synagogue . Firearms officers were deployed following reports a security guard had been attacked with a knife.
