Man shot following stabbing at Manchester synagogue

Shocking footage reveals the moment armed police shoot a suspect during a terrifying assault on a synagogue.

Officers rushed to the scene following reports a vehicle had been driven into pedestrians and people had been knifed. Several casualties have been confirmed. Footage from the scene shows two armed police officers approaching a man lying on the ground inside a gated building, with one of them eventually opening fire.

Visible in the foreground is another person who eyewitnesses say has been stabbed. He can be seen bleeding and lying motionless close to an apparently abandoned car. The officers shout at the public to get back, as a man lays on the floor, reports the Mirror .
