The Met Office has confirmed Storm Amy is set to hit the UK tomorrow, with numerous bodies issuing advice on what to do ahead of time.

Winds of up to 80mph are forecast within just days, with the British weather specialists putting a yellow severe weather warning in place for wind between 6pm on October 3 and 11.50pm on October 4.

As well as considering the impact of wind and fog, meteorologists have confirmed flooding and landslides could occur as up to 80mm (3in) of rainfall is expected in some parts of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This could lead to some transport disruption as services across the UK have warned over "difficult driving conditions."
