SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Savannah Bananas continue to evolve and Thursday marked the debut of their latest innovation: the Banana Ball Tour Championship.

The four national barnstorming teams have been seeded based on their 2025 season performance and will play a best-of-three semifinal series Oct. 2-5 with the championship final played on Oct. 11.

"Banana Ball is here and it's growing and everybody's been asking, is it competitive; everybody's about to see it this weekend," Bananas head coach Tyler Gillum said. "This is our first ever Banana Ball playoff tournament-type setup. It's a test for us as we move into 2026. These guys are fired up. All four teams are ready (and) firing on all cylinders. Fans are going to love it.”
