CLEVELAND, Ohio — With little rain in the past week, drought conditions remain entrenched across Northeast Ohio, according to the latest update from the U.S. Drought Monitor.
The Oct. 2 report, released Thursday morning, included precipitation totals through 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Most of the region saw no change from the previous week . All of Cuyahoga County and most of Geauga and Lake counties remain in moderate drought, while the far northeast corners of Lake and Geauga counties and much of Ashtabula County are still considered abnormally dry.
In Lorain County, severe drought persists in the far northwest corner, with the rest of the county continuing to experience moderate drought.
Medina, Summit and Portage counties also remain split between moderate drought in their northern sectio
