Does knowing someone for so long mean you are friends?

It’s hard, at times, to believe that Marc, Serge and Yvan, the characters in the mostly entertaining Broadway revival of Yasmina Reza’s “Art,” have known each other for 25 years.

The problems start when Serge (Neil Patrick Harris) spends $300,000 on a white-on-white painting by a famous artist. Marc (Bobby Cannavale) cannot believe Serge would waste his money. Serge thinks Marc just doesn’t understand art. So they want to hear from Yvan (James Corden), who has a lot on his mind and doesn’t seem to have an opinion.
