NEW YORK — It’s off to a best-of-five Division Series for the Yankees , who finished off the Red Sox 4-0 on Thursday night at Yankee Stadium to win their Wild Game Series two-games-to-one.

The Sox never had a chance against the Yankees’ newest star. Rookie Cam Schlittler’s postseason debut was sensational , a five-hitter over eight shutout innings, 12 strikeouts and no walks.

The Yankees scored all four of their runs in the fourth inning against Red Sox rookie left-hander Connelly Early, then cruised to the finish line.

Next up for the Yankees is their biggest 2025 nemesis, the American League East champion Toronto Blue Jays.

Both clubs had the same 94-68 record in the regular season, but the Jays won the division because they got the better of the Yankees in their head-to-heads.
