Singer Hayley Williams is setting the record straight on the lyrics from one of her songs.
Williams, the lead singer for Paramore who released a solo album in July, says the “racist country singer” lyric in the album’s title track, “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party,” is a reference to country music superstar Morgan Wallen.
She made the confirmation Tuesday during an interview for the New York Times’ “Popcast ," according to USA Today .
“I’m always talking about Morgan Wallen, I don’t give a s---,” Williams says in the podcast, according to Entertainment Weekly . “Find me at Whole Foods, bitch, I don’t care.”
Williams says the lyric, “I’ll be the biggest star / in this racist country singer’s bar,” actually could refer to “a couple” of country music singers. Williams now lives in
