Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1, which is a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, has taken a fabulous start at the ticket windows. With positive reviews and word of mouth pouring in, the bookings on ticketing portals witnessed a massive surge.

Trade pundits predicted an opening of around Rs. 80 crores, but the action drama exceeded expectations and collected Rs. 89 crores gross globally. Justifying its PAN India tag, Kantara: Chapter 1 secured solid openings across all languages in which it was released.

The day 2 bookings look super strong, and the big-ticket entertainer will continue to make solid bucks over the weekend. Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah played key roles in this project produced by Hombale Films. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the tunes.
