As the notion of ‘plug and play’ morphs beyond its roots in computing and tech’, it’s fast becoming a buzz term in the construction industry.
Prefabricated structures, in myriad iterations, have existed for decades. For some, the concept of transporting a ‘complete’ dwelling to a rural location (and simply ‘hooking it up’) feels like a rewarding alternative to years on a construction site, where physical conditions and changeable weather patterns can make the build process a long and arduous affair.
Across the last decade, we’ve amassed considerable experience in full-scale, on site construction, but we’ve also presided over schemes that called for ‘dropped on site’ prefabricated buildings.
