The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Teesside as 'Storm Amy' descends. Forecasters say the latest bad weather phenomenon is 'likely' to lead to disruption with wind gusts of up to 48mph on Teesside.
Heavy rain has soaked Teesside throughout today, with winds starting to pick up from around 3pm. The wind warning for wind lasts until midnight on Saturday, October 4, and the rain, just before midnight tonight.
The storm is expected to bring 10-20mm of rain and "a spell of strong winds to many parts of northern and western Britain" - with gusts of 48mph on Teesside.
